“That’s our breakfast.” I sigh, giving her a quick kiss and sliding on my jeans.
She lies back in bed with a smile.
Zeek stands at the door, holding a bag and a tray with two coffees. His dark hair is all messy, and I know I would have woken him up. “Prez,” he murmurs, and I grin.
“Thanks, Zeek. You on gate or security today?”
“Gate.”
“All right, I’ll be back at the clubhouse soon.”
He nods and heads back to his bike, while I close the door and bring Kenzie her coffee and breakfast in bed.
She beams when she sees the coffee, sitting up and taking a sip. Her eyes widen. “How did you know I like it like that?”
“I pay attention.” I grin.
“Thank you,” she says, licking her lips.
Sitting on the edge of the bed, I take a sip of my black coffee before I ask her, “We have a fight night on the weekend at the clubhouse. I want to be honest with you, I don’t know if that’s the right way to introduce you to everyone, so I thought I’d leave it up to you.”
“A fight night?” she asks, frowning.
“Yeah, all the Royal Bastards get together once a month, and we match everyone up with a fight. It keeps us on our toes,” I explain, studying her reaction, but she doesn’t give much away.
“I’ll come,” she finally says, tilting her head to the side. “Can I bring my friend, Freya? She works fly-in, fly-out, and she’s back on Friday.”
“Sure, as long as she doesn’t gossip about anything she sees,” I agree.
“She was with me that night when I met you. She was dancing with some guy, that’s why I was standing alone at the bar,” she explains, her lip twitching.
“I remember.”
Her eyes fall to her coffee. “So all the… club women will be there?”
“Yes, some of them live at the clubhouse. They cook, clean, and are there for the men,” I say, clearing my throat.
Her head snaps to me. “So you have women living there that are at your beck and call?”
“Not only mine, but yes.” I don’t want to make her angry or for her to put her walls back up, but I need to be honest with her. If I don’t warn her, and she walks into it, I know it will be much worse.
“Hmm,” she murmurs, putting her drink down and pulling out the bagel. She takes a bite and then gets out of bed. “I’d better get ready for work. Thanks for breakfast.”
I stop her with my arms around her waist as she tries to walk past me. “This is my life, Siren. I want you to be a part of it, but you’re going to have to be a little open-minded for me.”
“And I’ll expect the same from you,” she replies, kissing my cheek before heading into the kitchen.
Sitting back on the bed, I wonder if I’m doing the right thing by bringing her. Maybe I could keep her separate. I know bikers who have civilian wives they don’t bring around their club, but it usually doesn’t work out. Not to mention, they are usually cheating with women at the club.
What am I even thinking? Either she fits in and can accept my lifestyle, or she doesn’t.
When she gets in the shower, I jump in with her.
Might as well enjoy this while it lasts.
“I thought everyone was going to tone it down tonight.” I sigh.
Friday night came around quickly, and I haven’t seen Kenzie since I spent the night at her house, but we’ve been texting. She and Freya are due to get here any minute, and a few of the men are already drunk. The club women decided it would be cute to serve drinks topless, so there are tits everywhere, and that’s the first thing Siren is going to see. The men are all half-naked, too, most of them getting ready to beat the shit out of each other, so, of course, a few of them are already making out with some of the women, and sucking on nipples in front of everyone.
