Honey is another one of our club girls. She and her sister, Hazel, moved in here a few weeks ago.

Scrubbing my hand down my face, I check the time. “I’m heading back out.”

I have a woman to track down.

By the time I make it back to Opal, it’s an hour later, having been stopped in the clubhouse on the way out before I could even make it to my bike. At least her car is still here. When I step into the bar, all eyes are instantly on me. I know what I look like, dressed in all black and leather. My cut draws attention, mostly fear, and puts some people on edge. Tonight, though, I’m not here to start any trouble. I just want to try and fuck Siren out of my system so I can go on with my life without thinking about her.

Her hazel eyes widen when she sees me. She has four empty glasses around her and is eating a chicken wing. “Well, I guess you found me.”

“You’re drunk,” I murmur, sliding into the booth next to her.

“I’m tipsy,” she counters.

Her friend studies me over her glass, but she doesn’t look afraid of me. I’ve seen her around the school, another teacher, I think. “I’m Chance.”

“Tegan,” she replies, glancing between Mackenzie and me. “You took longer than I thought to get here.”

I grin. “Had a few issues to deal with.” Turning to the woman I came here to see, I watch as she sucks all the meat off the bone and watches me with narrowed eyes.

I was going to throw her over my shoulder and take her out of here, but she’s drunk, so I don’t want to take her on my bike, and I can’t exactly seduce her when she’s in this state.

I guess she wins this round.

“Can I get either of you anything? A water perhaps?”

“No thanks. Do you want a wing? They are kind of spicy but delicious.” Mackenzie smiles, licking her fingers.

Fuck, she’s cute.

Why does she have to be so cute?

“I’ll get you both some water,” I say, standing and heading to the bar. I purchase three bottles and bring them back to the table. Apparently, in those three minutes it takes me to do that, some fucker has decided to come over to the table to try to hit on her.

A man in a suit stands next to the table, holding out his phone to her, and I catch the end of their conversation. “I’d love to take you out for dinner?—”

“She’s not interested,” I snap, handing them each a bottle of water. “And if you know what’s good for you, you will get out of here before I beat the shit out of you.”

“You can’t threaten me, I’m a lawyer.”

“I don’t give a fuck who you are. I’ve done time, and I’ll do it again. I’m going to give you ten seconds to get the fuck out of here.”

“Chance!” Mackenzie gasps, while Tegan laughs under her breath.

The man makes the smart call and practically bolts back to his table. I ignore the dirty looks thrown my way.

“What if I wanted his number?” Mackenzie asks with a scowl.

“You didn’t. Now, are you both ready to go home? I can get some of my men to drive your cars back since you’re both in no state to drive.”

She rolls her eyes. “Must be nice to be king. Women at your feet. Hot men to do your bidding.”

My eyes narrow. “And who exactly out of my men do you find hot, Siren?”

Either she’s too drunk to pick up on my tone, or she doesn’t give a fuck.

She shares a look with Tegan. “I don’t know their names, but they were all pretty hot. Do you only let sexy men join the Royal Bastards MC? Tegan, you should hook up with the tall one with the bald head. He’s built like a damn Viking.”

Gunner is a dead man.
