I glanced at Angus. His eyes were furious and he looked ready to lunge for the beta. If he did, he really would be arrested.
“Step away from him if you know what’s good for you,” I told the beta.
The bearded beta stepped forward, sniffing the air. “Wait.” Getting closer to Ben, he sniffed again. “Dammit to hell! It’s too late!”
“What? They’ve mated?” Potato Nose asked.
“I don’t know, but they’ve bonded.”
“Their mating ceremony is tonight,” Laura spoke up.
“Of course it is,” the bearded beta said sarcastically. He turned to us.
“Well, go on.” He waved his hand. “Mate. We’re not leaving until you do.” He took a seat on the couch and jerked his head for his two companions to sit down as well.
“What the fuck?” I asked.
“You heard me. I smell the bond, but that’s not enough. We’re not leaving until we can document that he’s mated to an alpha.”
“They are not going to mate in front of you, you perverts,” Laura said coldly.
The bearded beta sighed. “I’m not asking them to.” He looked at Angus. “Go in the bedroom and do it. Once I know it’s done, we’ll leave. Not a moment before.”
Chapter six
Ben
Ifelt weird, and not just because of the situation.
Angus, Colt, and Maddox were arguing with the betas, who insisted they were staying until we were mated. I should have just let Colt and Angus come all over me, but I’d hesitated too long and ruined it. Now, they were going to have to mate me and there was no time for second thoughts. Not that I had any, but they might.
It was incredibly hot in the room. My clothes felt too tight, and my skin tingled.
Handing Ollie to Laura, David took me by the arm and pulled me into Angus’ bedroom, shutting the door behind us.
“I don’t feel right,” I told him, beginning to pant.
“That’s because you’re going into heat.”
“What? But…what? How?”
“I don’t know, maybe just the idea of mating did it. It’s a good thing, too, because you guys have to mate so we can get rid of ourguests.” He said the word like he was sayinginfestation.
“Are we really doing it now?” My voice squeaked. “Maybe Angus and Colt can talk them into more time. David…I don’t even know what to do!”
“Ben, you are going into heat, and you know very well that you can’t stop a heat once it starts. As for what to do, it’ll come to you, don’t worry.”
The doorknob rattled. “David, let me in there.” It was Angus.
“Why did you lock the door?” I asked.
“I wanted to make sure you were ready.”
Was I? I both wanted them to come in and I was afraid for them to. I now recognized the symptoms of my heat coming on, only it felt likemore, and underlying it was a completely new feeling of anticipation. For the first time, I wasn’t going to suffer alone through my heat. I was going to be satisfied by an alpha.By two alphas.Could I take them both? I felt sure I could. A small smile spread over my face.
“Okay, you’re ready,” David said, patting my shoulder. “Get undressed and on the bed.” He crossed to the door.
“David!” Angus yelled, making me shiver, and then David opened the door.
