Moving to stand in front of him, Wash lifted his chin with a knuckle, pressing a soft kiss against his lips to soothe him a little. “None of that. You have nothing to be embarrassed about. I just want to know what we’re doing.”
And figure out just how much of this was Peri’s determination to get him out of the office and how much was it actually about Wash himself.
Fourteen
He sounded so sure of himself, and Peri wished he could believe him. Most of his exes were excited at first, finding out about his insatiable appetite. They thought after a while, they’d wear him out enough that things would slow down a little. It never did. He was always a little horny, and when he was in a relationship, once a day was never usually enough for him. His exes either took it as an insult or said there was something wrong with him, and they all eventually left when they decided he was too much to handle.
“Come on,” Wash urged, patting his hip gently to get him moving. “I’ll serve us up some food, and we’ll talk.”
Maybe it was better to be upfront. That way if Wash decided he didn’t want to deal with Peri’s… issue, they could stop things now, and he wouldn’t be as heartbroken as he would be if they spent more time together, and Peri got even more attached than he already was. It’d still hurt, and he’d probably spend a few days crying, but he’d get over it. He always bounced back eventually.
He watched as Wash plated their meal with calm efficiency, his cherry red skin on display along with all those tight muscles. He was hiding a lot under those hoodies. The man was ripped and probably spent a lot of time at the gym to get that kind ofphysique. Peri couldn’t go to gyms. All the shirtless men getting sweaty was… yeah, not a good idea. He’d never get anything done.
They sat together at the island on the mushroom stools that Peri had found at a farmer’s market. He’d thought they were cute, and the way Wash’s mouth kicked up as he sat made him think Wash felt the same. He pulled his legs up, sitting cross legged and dug into the meal, humming a little happy sound as the flavors hit his tongue. Was it just him, or did it taste better because they made it together?
Wash didn’t rush him, but Peri could feel his eyes on him, and he knew the demon wouldn’t let it go. With a sigh, he twirled his noodles absently as he explained, “I… I don’t really know how to explain it.”
Wash grunted, still not rushing him, splitting his focus between Peri and his food to give Peri time to think.
“People explained it to me in different ways. My cousin says I have a high libido. My last ex said I had whore energy for days.” He put his hands up before Wash could stand, already growling and seething. “He didn’t mean it as a bad thing. At least… not at first. He was teasing. I think. Anyway…” He started fidgeting, spinning back and forth on the stool top. He’d been ecstatic to find out they did that the first time. It was one of the reasons he’d bought them so fast.
Drawing in a deep breath, he blurted it all out. “I don’t just like sex. I love it. I want it all the time. When I said I could come as many times as you wanted me to, I meant it. There’s something wrong with me, I can’t control it. It’s just always there, this buzzing need inside me, and if I ignore it too long, the buzzing gets too loud, and I can’t focus on anything else. It’s like an addiction, but not, because I know I won’t die from not having it, but it feels like it a little bit sometimes.”
Wash had set down his fork while Peri was rambling and turned to face him fully, his expression serious and a touch concerned.
That only made Peri more anxious and he couldn’t get himself to shut up. “Most of my exes thought it was fun at first, but they all got tired of me in the end. I don’t expect you to take care of me all the time, I have plenty of toys, but I’ll never not want it, and I really like you, and I don’t want to chase you away so if it’s too much you can just tell me, and I’ll–”
Without warning, Wash scooped Peri into his lap, wrapping his arms around Peri in a grip tight enough to make him squeak. It was a little rough, but he loved it, because it helped with the panic bubbling up in his system. He didn't get like this often, all spazzy and stressed out, he was the happy one, but he really liked Wash, and he was worried about losing him already. It’d only been a couple days since they met, and he was already attached.
He couldn’t hug Wash back with his arms pinned, so he made do with nuzzling his face against Wash’s shoulder, trying to hide the tears threatening to spill from his eyes. He soaked in the comfort, hoping his rambling didn't make things worse.
“Peri… I almost don't want to ask this, but I think I know the answer. Were any of those exes demons?”
He shook his head, rubbing his face against Wash in the process, because he didn’t want to look up and see Wash’s reaction.
“I figured. And how much do you know about demon physiology?”
That made him frown, and he finally looked up, confused. “Um… Not much, I guess. Why?”
Wash’s face was relaxed and held no judgment, his words soft and rumbly as he spoke. “Demons are the species most closely related to incubi and succubi. We can actually tracedemon and incubi origins to the same realm, making it likely we were all one species at some point in time. While the exact reason we split is still unknown, there are some shared traits amongst both species.”
Peri listened with avid fascination, unsure where Wash was going with this but happy to hear him talk anyway. He sounded like a super serious professor, and Peri had the sudden urge to play professor and naughty student with him.
He squashed that thought down before it could get legs, forcing himself to pay attention.
“Horns, wings, tail, those are all physical traits we share, but a less known shared trait is sexual stamina.”
Eyebrows shooting up, Peri said, “You mean…”
Wash nodded without needing him to finish the question. “The only species with a higher stamina than demons is incubi. So believe me, if you need sex, I can take care of you.”
He was almost a little afraid to hope. He’d had exes before boast about their stamina and say they could keep up with him only to toss him aside a few weeks later when it got to be too much. But none of them had ever backed that up with scientific facts before. Still…
“Even if you can, you don’t have to feel obligated. I know I can be a bit much and…” He trailed off when Wash silenced him with kisses. Not frenzied passionate kisses like before, but the sweet drugging kind like when they were in the office, and Peri thought his mind would melt from the heat of them. He let himself be distracted by Wash’s lips, deciding it was better to soak in as much time with Wash as he could before he eventually left instead of pushing him away now. He slid his arms around Wash’s neck, his cock perking up despite the multiple orgasms he’d had an hour earlier.
Wash pulled away before things could get too steamy, resting his forehead against Peri’s. “Food first. You need to eat to keep up your energy.”
Excited anticipation zipped up his spine and his voice was a little dreamy when he asked, “And after?”
