“God, that’s easy. I promise,” he says, letting out a relieving breath.
She shrugs, then looks into the bag. Harmon offers it to her. She takes it and sits on the couch with Chrissy. They go through it, smiling about whatever they’re finding.
I’ll admit… I expected this reunion to be more difficult. I didn’t expect either of them to forgive so easily. Not after what we’ve all been through.
I move to the door. “How did you get in?”
“The woman on the first floor recognized me. She was on her way out and said it was okay for me to come up.”
I nod, staring at him. He’s still standing in the hallway on the other side of my door. He won’t make a move to come in. Not unless one of us invites him in.
“I didn’t expect to stay, I—”
“You came all the way here to give a bag of gifts and say you’re sorry? You could have DoorDashed and texted.”
He frowns, and I can’t help but laugh. I step aside.
“Come inside, Harmon.”
His smile brightens his eyes, and he steps inside.
“Is this an actual replica?” Chrissy shouts, pulling out something that looks like a knife.
“It is, but I don’t think you’ve gotten that far in the show yet.”
“It’s still cool!” She turns it over to look at the other side, dragging her finger along the markings. “Oh, did you know there is a character on the show that they call Cas?”
Harmon looks shocked. “I did not know that.”
“Yeah, I don’t know how I feel about him yet, but I think he’s going to be important…”
Harmon chuckles as Cammy says, “And this is…”
“Uh, well, chocolate is good,” he says with shrug as she holds up the giant bag of chocolate.
We all laugh. He joins in a moment later. Cammy tears the bag open and hands a small heart-shaped chocolate to Chrissy before taking one for herself.
She takes a bite and her eyes roll into the back of her head.
“Wow,” is all she says. “This is so good.”
“It’s my favorite,” Harmon says.
“Don’t picture you as a chocolate-eater,” I say.
He shrugs. “I have plenty of secret indulgences.”
“Is that so?” I ask, smirking.
He smirks back and slowly brings his attention to the girls.
“I’m sure I missed a lot, but if you’re watching Supernatural, I’d love to stay for a bit and watch with you.”
Chrissy stares at him, blinking. “You can’t miss all those episodes. A lot has happened.”
“I’ll go back and watch them later,” he promises.
“Okay, but you’re only ruining it for yourself,” she says, patting the open spot beside her.
