As the first rays of sunlight filter through the curtains, I smile, thinking about last night, as I can feel Camden sleeping soundly behind me. Throughout the night, each time I moved in my sleep, he would pull me back into his arms. Even in his sleep, he was seeking me out. The love and happiness I’m feeling blossoms through my chest. For the first time in my life, I feel whole. Every part of my being that was broken shattered into a million pieces like fine china finally feels like it’s been pieced back together. It’s all because of the man sleeping behind me. He showed me what true love is supposed to feel like. My father maystill be out there, but I won’t allow him to ever take this peace from me again. He no longer has a place in my head, nor will I allow him to haunt my every waking moment.

Now that I’m healed, I’m excited about going back to work. I missed Grandma Silvia so much, especially watching her get up to her antics and Grandpa Owen just smiling at her as if she could do no wrong. With that thought and the excitement coursing through me, I slowly move Camden’s arm off of me and get out of bed, grabbing my clothes and heading to the bathroom for a shower. With each step I take, I can definitely feel some pain. I take one last peek at him lying in bed with the sheet hanging low. Seeing his abs on display makes my mouth water. I’m debating saying screw it and joining him for another round. But the pain between my legs and other parts of my body says otherwise. Sighing, I close the bathroom door and turn on the shower as hot as I can stand it. The moment the water hits my back, my sore muscles start to relax. I want to make him breakfast before we have to leave, so I wash up quickly, knowing he will be awake soon. Once my hair and body are washed, I step out of the shower and dry off, and grab my favorite lotion. I brush my teeth and hair, and decide to let it air dry and throw on my clothes. Since it’s a little chilly outside today, I put on a pair of leggings and an off the shoulder sweater. Cleaning up my mess, I slowly open the door only to find the bed empty. Well, crap. There goes that idea of surprising him with breakfast. I can hear him moving around downstairs, so I walk over to the side table and grab my phone, and make my way downstairs.

I stop just inside the kitchen and watch him move fluidly, making bacon with a coffee already waiting for me, sitting at the bar, which makes me smile.

He turns his head and sees me standing there, then smiles at me while walking over. He pulls me into his arms and kisses the top ofmy head. “Good morning, how are you feeling this morning? Not too sore?”

“Good morning. I’m not too bad. The shower definitely helped some.”

He pulls back, smiling at me. “Good. Now sit your pretty ass down; breakfast is almost ready.”

I pout up at him, making him laugh. “But I wanted to surprise you with breakfast.” He steers me towards the barstool and helps me up, pushes the coffee towards me and goes back to plating the food.

I take a sip of my coffee and watch him plate the food, sliding one towards me before he takes a seat beside me. “But it’s my job to take care of you, babydoll, so get used to it.”

He winks at me, making me shake my head and smile. “Fine, but I’m making dinner tonight.” I narrow my eyes at him, trying not to smile.

“We’ll see. Now eat up; you need your strength for later.” He licks his lips, looking my body up and down, making me shiver thinking about what’s going to happen later. I practically shove the food into my mouth. I can hear his silent laughter before he starts eating.

Before I know it, the food is gone, and I drain the last of my coffee, and once again, when I try to get up to put the dishes in the dishwasher, he gets up, taking everything in one go. “Why don’t you go put your shoes on, and then we can head out?”

I squeal in excitement, almost landing on my ass to race to grab my shoes and slip them on. “So, are we taking your bike today?”

All I hear is silence. I turn around and see him standing there with a smile on his face, and in his hands is a cut with the words property of Ghost. My hands fly to my mouth as tears fill my eyes because this is huge in the biker world. It means for life. “Camden.” I whisper his name, not knowing what to say.

“I love you, Scarlett, and this is me telling the world that you're mine. You are mine, just as I'm yours. One day soon, you will wear my ring and have as many babies as you want. The world will be yours, babydoll.”

He gently wipes the tears from my face, which seem never-ending. “Will you help me put it on?” I turn around as he helps me into the cut. The buttery- soft leather feels nice. It feels right. I can hear him suck in a sharp breath as his chest vibrates. He must like seeing me with his name on.

I turn around and place my hand on his face. “My Camden. My Ghost who was always watching me from the shadows. My silent protector. The man who helped me, who made me see I was worthy of love. You made me whole again. I don't even think I could put into words just how much I love you. Because I do with every fiber of my being. Not only are you my protector but my best friend, the man I want to spend the rest of my life with.”

He pulls me closer to him, pressing his forehead against mine. “Fuck Scarlett.” Leaning further down, he places his lips to mine. The kiss isn't rushed but a gentle reminder of our love for each other, a bond that can never be broken.

We pull apart as he pulls me into his arms. Both of us are just taking in the moment. After a moment, he places a kiss on my head. “As much as I want to stay here all day and take you back upstairs. We have shit to do today. But later on, that pussy is mine.”

My body vibrates with anticipation. “I can't wait.” I wink at him and head for the door, walking out to his bike.

He closes and locks the door and walks towards the bike, handing me a helmet and helping me strap it on. Without a word, he lifts me up and places me on the seat, and sits down in front of me. I scoot down and wrap my arms around him.

He turns his head, smiling at me. “Ready?”

“With you, always.” He shakes his head, and before I know it, we are heading out of the MC compound and onto the open road. God, this is such a freeing feeling, as if you are flying. I love being on the back of his bike.

Before I know it, we are in town and pulling into the general store parking lot. I can already see Joker and a prospect named Alex waiting there for us. He pulls in next to them and shuts the bike off. Camden gets off and helps me off. I take the helmet off and run my fingers through my hair.

Joker walks over with that mischievous smile on his face as he opens his arms. “Well, if it isn’t my favorite person. Come, give your brother a hug.”

I can’t help but let out a giggle as he wraps his arms around me. He truly is like the brother I always wanted. “Hi Joker.”

Camden walks over, taking me out of Joker’s arms. “All right, asshole, that's enough touching my woman.”

Joker doesn’t take offense to that but just laughs. “Possessive much, aren’t we? I finally see that you've made an honest man out of Ghost, Tinkerbell. Congratulations. Are you sure you want to be shacking up with this guy?” I can see the twinkle in Joker’s eyes as he’s always trying to get a rise out of the guys and girls, but I know it’s coming from a place of love. I truly think there are layers to Joker I’ve yet to see.

I look up at Camden. “I’m positive I’m right where I'm meant to be.”

He winks at me before looking back at Ghost. “So while Tink is at work, the guys are across the street at the Cafe. We figured we could have our meeting there. Madison has been having a little trouble, so we are meeting her to figure out what is going on.” Joker gets a dark lookin his eyes when he talks about trouble with Madison. I just hope those two can work out whatever it is that’s keeping them apart because I know they are perfect for each other.

“Is Madison okay?” I worry, my lip between my teeth, hoping it’s nothing serious.
