“This is Ghost and Crow. They came with me.” Ghost nods his head and smiles at her.
Crow sticks out his hand, and she places her hand in his, shaking it lightly. “It’s nice to meet you, Pixie.” Crow gets a smirk on his face as she narrows her eyes at him. I can hear Ghost chuckle beside him. But I can see why he calls her that because she and I are basically the same size.
“Lord, not you too. That’s what my little brother calls me. He’s been taller than I am since freaking ten.” Kira looks over at me and rolls her eyes, making me smile.
“Oh, I totally get it; they all call me Tinkerbell.”
Kira gets a smirk on her face as she looks over at Crow, winking at him. “Short girls do it better, anyway.”
Before Crow can say anything, the front door opens, making us turn around, and a boy walks in with chocolate all over his face, not looking where he's going. “Hey Pixie. Grandma Silvia made us cookies, and you've got to try them. She also said don’t forget about her hair appointment next week. Whoa,” he stops as soon as he sees the wall of muscle standing before him. He takes in the intimidating guys and comes to stand in front of his sister, blocking her view. Staring down both men, showing no fear. I peek out from behind him and can see the pride in the guy's eyes.
Kira walks from behind her brother, giving him a smile and placing her hand on his arm. “It’s okay, Nicholas, these are friends.”
He looks at her, assessing to see if she’s telling the truth, and his shoulders drop as soon as he believes her. “Okay, if you're sure. I thought maybe that the dick sent people here instead of himself this time.” He growls out, making my eyes bug out. I can see the guys trying not to laugh at him, cursing.
Kira lets out a gasp at his cursing. “Nicholas Steele Murphy, you don’t curse.”
He rolls his eyes at her like as all kids do. “Okay, Mom.”
Crow steps forward with a smile on his face. “I promise you we would never hurt your sister or you. You have my word. But why don’t we have a conversation about this dick you were talking about?” Oh boy, I think Crow is pissed at the prospect of someone coming after Kira.
Nicholas looks at him before shrugging his shoulders. “Okay, sure, as long as I can ask about being a biker.”
Crow sticks his hand out, waiting. Nicholas doesn’t waste a second shaking his hand; he must sense Crow is telling the truth. “Deal.”
Kira looks at the ceiling and closes her eyes. “Lord help me. Alright, you guys can have a seat if you want. There is also a coffee bar on the side, so help yourselves. Nic, no more cookies, or you're never going to eat dinner. My new bestie and I have things to do.”
Kira links her arm with mine and walks to the back towards the washing station. She places a cape on me and has me lean back. I look up at her and can see she’s struggling with something. “Are you okay?”
Kira plasters on a smile and shakes her head. “Ya my brother, ever the protector, scares me with how much he wants to protect me from my crazy ex. It scares me that he’s going to get in the crosshairs of him. I try to protect him as much as I can, but it’s hard raising him on my own.”
We both look over to where he is sitting with Crow and Ghost, and all three have their heads bent in discussion. No doubt they are getting all the dirt on this crazy ex that Kira has.
Leaning my head back, I smile, closing my eyes. “I wouldn’t worry too much. I have a feeling you're going to be seeing a lot more of Crow now.”
Ya she’s definitely going to be seeing him more. These MC men, when they find their one, they hold on, never letting go, and I’m pretty sure I just witnessed Crow falling hard.

After getting an amazing head massage, we head to the chair so Kira can cut my hair.
“All right, girl, what are we doing today?” She brushes out my long hair, which now reaches near my butt.
“I want layers, with the shortest length to be at my shoulders.”
Kira stops brushing my hair and looks at me in the mirror. “Are you sure that’s a lot of hair that’s going to be cut off?”
I smile at her without even giving a second thought. “Yeah, I’m sure. It’s definitely time fora change.”
She smiles big at me through the mirror. “Now just sit back and let me do my magic while you tell me all about the man who can’t seem to take his eyes off you. Ghost was it?”
Sure enough, when I look in the mirror, Ghost is watching me. He sends me a wink before going back to his conversation. As Kira cuts my hair, I tell her all about him rescuing me from my father and us living together right now. “He says I’m his, and that’s big in the MC world.”
“Grandma Silvia told me a little bit about it. She said, when they find someone, it’s for life. That those guys treat their ole’ lady as if the world begins and ends with them.”
“It’s true; I’ve seen it firsthand with my other friends who are with other MC members.”
