When Eric returned from the bathroom, Kyle was already dressed.

“You’re leaving?”

“Yeah. I thought... I mean, it’s still pretty early. I can go home.”

Eric tried not to let his disappointment show. “Sure. That makes sense.”

“Although I’m sure I would sleep like a log in that bed. Or your guest bed again,” Kyle added quickly. “I’m not going to assume that—”

Eric grabbed a fresh pair of underwear from his dresser. “If you stayed the night, you’d be welcome to share my bed. Or sleep in the guest room. Your choice.”

“Maybe next time.”

Eric froze for a second, then resumed stepping into his briefs. Kyle had mentioned a next time before, but that had been when he was on the brink of orgasm. Did he really want to do this again? Did he actually want to do that edging thing?

“Next time?” Eric asked, hoping his tone didn’t betray how eager he was.

“If you want. I mean, I know your mind is blown right now, but we barely scratched the surface tonight. I have much to teach you.”

Eric huffed. “Okay, professor. Maybe we can schedule something next week.”

“Sounds hot. I’ll send you an appointment reminder.”

Eric pulled on some sweatpants. “Or you can be a brat about it.”

Kyle crossed the room and wrapped his arms around Eric’s waist. “I just remembered I’m busy for the next six years.”

“That’s too bad. I’ll probably be dead after that.”

Kyle kissed him. “You’ll be even sexier in six years, I’ll bet.”

Eric walked Kyle down to the front door and got him his jacket. Kyle fished his phone out of the pocket and laughed. “Kip’s inviting me to your Saturday afternoon game.”

Eric loved the idea of Kyle watching him play. He wanted to show off for him. “Can’t get enough of me, huh?”

“I want to see how flexible you are.” Kyle waggled his eyebrows, which made Eric laugh.

“Thank you,” Eric said awkwardly before opening the door. “This really was...well, it was more than I’d ever hoped for. It was perfect. Thanks.”

Kyle’s eyes were soft. “I had fun. Keep in touch, all right?”

“I will.”

“And,” Kyle added cheerfully. “I’ll keep an eye out for any potential suitors for you.”

That threw Eric for a moment, which was silly because he knewKylewasn’t going to date him. He forced a smile. “Sounds good. I’ll wave to you at the game.”

“I’ll be the one in theI kissed Eric BennettT-shirt.” Kyle winked at him, and then he was gone.

Chapter Fourteen

“Do you ever get used to that?” Kyle asked over the roar of twenty thousand people cheering as Scott’s goal was announced.

Kip grinned, his eyes fixed on Scott’s face on the enormous scoreboard screen. “Nope.”

“Like, that’s your boyfriend. Yourfiancé.” It was suddenly a lot easier to tease Kip about Scott. He no longer felt a stab of jealousy or longing when reminded that Kip was spoken for, and Kyle didn’t want to think too hard about why that was.

“I know,” Kip said. “We argued about coffeemaker settings this morning.”
