“You don’t tell me no. You’re nothing but a bossy puta. I’m in charge here, and she will do as I say, or she can watch my guards beat and rape you.”

He squeezes my arm, and I lean up into his face. “You’ll want to let me go now. I don’t care about our contract. I’ll drop you on your ass. And never threaten me again.” My voice is cold as ice. I’m ready for whatever consequences come from this.

He drops my arm and steps back as his guards move forward, but he holds up his hand, stopping them.

“Sir, they’re here.” His manager steps into the room, diffusing the situation instantly.

“Get behind the bar and act right, or I’ll make you sorry. No bitch is worth this much shit,” Javier says before turning toward Maisy. I cock my head, trying to decipher what he means. “Maisy, you’ll deliver the drinks. Go, both of you, now.”

I turn to leave, but before I do, I glance back at Diamond. She has a smirk on her bruised face. She starts caking on makeup to cover it and gets ready for her set. The guards step up to Maisy and me. One takes her arm and drags her from the room, and I take off to follow, but the other guard grabs my arm, further bruising the flesh Javier already injured.

Taking a deep breath, I prepare for what’s about to happen. I remember everything Shadow and Riddler taught me. I’m stronger of mind and body than this asshole, and I’ll take him out.

As we move closer to the private room, Javier stops just inside the doorway. I look over to see several men sitting around a table with two giants standing behind them. They can’t see us yet as the guards block Maisy and me from their view.

“Last chance, Little Maisy. You dance, or she dies.” In that moment, I feel the gun press into my side. Instead of freaking out, I take on Shadow’s persona and chuckle.

“Couldn’t get your way back there when we were alone, so now you’re going to push it here in front of your friends. Fuck you. I’ll dance. My sister won’t.”

“Fine.” Javier smirks as if he got his wish, but he doesn’t realize the powder keg he just lit.

Screw this job. We are out of here. We can find another way to help find Syndall.

Chapter Eight

Titan

The dark, dingy strip club isn’t where I want to be, but I know Stormy will forgive me for not searching for her. Thad is still looking, and I have facial recognition software running constantly for both her and Maisy.

When we got back from DC, it took me a week and a half to find this place. Another week passed before I could get this appointment. Now we just need to save these girls, and it will all be worth it.

A server walks up and bends over. Her fake boobs almost fall out of her top. We all order a shot, and she heads to the private bar where a man is standing. I notice he only makes half the drinks before stepping out of the room as the owner fills the entrance.

I can’t make out the details of the group he’s with, but I can see two guards holding what appear to be two women. These are the girls we came to save.

Cronus arranged for himself to be an intermediary between Ahriman and this guy, Diego. It wasn’t the usual way things were done, but we managed to convince Diego with a little green incentive. Cronus is in a suit and told Diego he uses a local MC as his bodyguards. I’m here with Hermes, Typhon, and Poseidon. The four of us are not only the biggest guys but the most intimidating. Aries is outside, and we’ve got another backup not far away. Poseidon leans back in his chair, looking like he doesn’t care, but I can see his body coiled and ready to fight. Hermes and Typhon stand behind Cronus, making Diego’s asshole guards look like toddlers. I glance down at my phone as it pings. Aries messages that a SUV has pulled up to the back door.

Something shifts in the air of the room. I feel on edge, and my pulse kicks up. Cronus and Poseidon must feel it too. The group at the door begins to break apart. Two women are exposed, each held by a guard, and I still can’t make out much, only that they’re dressed even skimpier than the last waitress.

One guard leads a petite, dark-haired woman to the front of the bar. Her hair is pulled into childish pigtails, and she fidgets in her high heels as he stands at her side. Her outfit is so tiny, leaving little to the imagination. Cronus sits forward, his eyes focused on her. I turn my attention back toward the entrance, and that’s when I see the second woman.

She’s on the shorter side, but not as short as the first. She is exquisite, with long blond dreadlocks partially pinned up, a delicate, ivory complexion, and striking red lips. Her eyes are behind dark-framed glasses. Her body is visible even though she’s in pants instead of shorts like the other woman. Something about this woman makes my blood pump hard through my veins. For the first time since I saw Stormy, my cock reacts. Tattoos line parts of her exposed skin. She steps behind the bar and begins preparing drinks. Leaning forward, she says something to the other woman, who shakes her head.

The guard grabs her arm, and I watch as a switch flips inside her. The sexy little blonde turns to him, grabs his hand, and twists it hard until he releases her. She isn’t scared of him. I’m about to stand up to help when Diego steps into my line of sight.

“We had a change of plans. I was going to have Little Maisy dance for you, but her sister decided to step up and take the reins instead. This is a treat. Stormy doesn’t usually get on stage. Are you ready?”

His words register, and I’m up out of my chair. It’s too close to be a coincidence. “Over my dead body.”

Cronus grips my arm, trying to pull me back. “Titan, no.”

I turn to him, but his eyes shift past me to someone beyond. He’s on his feet, gun in hand in the blink of an eye, aimed at the back of Diego’s head, who’s focused on the girl too. I can see the leer in his eyes. Diego wants her.

“Snow,” Cronus says, his deep voice rumbling. I turn and take her in. It’s Maisy.

She drops the tray. Glass shatters around her feet, and alcohol splashes her exposed legs. Diego must not understand how bad the situation is, because he smacks her across the face. She falls to the floor and screams as she lands among the shards.

“You’re just as crazy as your puta sister. You should’ve just danced like I told you to,” Diego yells at her.
