But he didn’t want her hand. He wanted her.

He covered her hand with his and guided himself to her entrance. With one semi-forceful thrust, he pushed into her, once, twice, three times, until she grew wetter and able to take his full size.

Still on his knees, he held her by her hips and drove her over his length until she cried out. Her nub was as hard as a pebble. He rubbed himself over it. She trembled in his arms. He leaned forward and held her thighs up around him then pushed her down on the bed.

Atop her, he rode the crest of the wave, undulating his hips, wedging himself inside deeper, looking into her eyes and seeing his future, his children there.

His climax came slowly, pulsing, hot, searing his veins. He moved atop her and held her with one hand around her waist and the other holding her hand over her head. He filled her and then filled her again, while she clawed him, crying out his name until they laughed, covering each other’s mouth while their release finally ended.

Nicholas had never felt this way before. She satisfied every inch of him. He didn’t care if she wasn’t a virgin. She wasn’t coy and shy but bold and confident, taking hold of him as if she owned him. And he liked it.

“Tell me more about your life in the future,” he asked when he turned to look at her, finally able to even his breath. “Tell me of your father and more of those gadgets. I want to know everything. You said you are a historian. What time period did you study?”

“Hmm? I’m sleepy.”

“What?” He leaned up on one elbow.

She opened her eyes to him staring at her through a few strands of her hair. “Aren’t you sleepy?” she asked.

“No.”

She smiled, setting his heart to ruin. “Oh, yes. I forgot your great stamina on the field, practice and otherwise.”

He laughed and moved her hair away from her face. “We will need to get you on the practice field if you are already sleepy.”

“Um, no thanks.” She shook her head as if to clear it. “If I know you’re awake then I’m good.”

He blinked. “I think I actually understood what you said.”

“Good, now do you still want to hear about my life?”

“Aye.” Nicholas smiled, pulling her in. Here is what he wanted more than anything else in his life. Moments like these, entangled in each other’s arms, while her voice…her words filled the air.

“I think you will be a silver fox like my father—if you live that long,” she whispered against his chest.

“I will live whether I go to battle or not,” he promised.

“Will you fight at Bosworth then?”

“I would be turning my back on everything the de Marres fought for.”

“They fought for treachery then?”

He studied her in the candlelight, taking in every perfect line of her face “Do you know something about Richard that I do not know?”

She shook her head. “I don’t think so.”

“Then we do not know for certain if he is guilty. If he lives long enough to father a son or two, the House of York could survive.”

“Nicholas!” She pushed away from him. “You make me sorry I ever told you what happens. It was wrong and now I’m seeing the consequence of it. You would change God’s plan—what has already been set into motion. The blame is on me.”

When she put it that way… “My love,” he pulled her back in, close enough that they shared breath. “I will do whatever you ask of me.”

She tossed her leg around him and pushed him onto his back. “Commander, you give me too much power.” She kissed a trail from his lips to his tight little nipple. He grew tight everywhere beneath her. She licked the muscles in his arms and rubbed her hot entrance over him until he grew thick and heavy.

“I love that you trust me with all this body,” she whispered against his belly.

He groaned. “Do what you wish to me, Wife.”
