“Kennedy!” Lara dug her fingers into anything they could find: her shoulders, chest, hips, the couch… nothing was sacred as the delights of marital bliss overcame her. “I’m coming!”

“I know.”

Kennedy struggled to thrust as intently after that, since Lara’s body completely clamped down around her fingers. At that point, her spouse, her Mistress, the love of her life, had no choice but to give in to her urges.

A hand searched for hers, holding it above her head as the rest of Kennedy continued to shake against the couch. Kennedy made short work of herself, of Lara, uniting their bodies in the most intimate way she knew how.

No one has ever felt this good with me. Nor had anyone felt as satisfying losing herself against her. The deep sounds in her throat… the heat of her body… the arousing scent of their bodies coming together. Lara fell into a spell that allowed her to transcend every negative feeling plaguing her heart and mind.

Thank God.

“Holy shit…” Kennedy collapsed on top of her, still nestled snugly between her thighs but unwilling to move.Good. Lara wanted to hold onto this moment. “I love you, Lara.”

She sighed, wrapping both arms around her and nuzzling against Kennedy’s warm form. “I love you too, Kenny.”

Their kisses did not lose their intensity for a while. Not when they were so full of the love they reclaimed from one another. She would never betray me. Not this one. Not the one whoasked her out, who seduced her, proposed to her, married her, and spent the past twelve years smitten with her and the fun she brought to their lives. Perhaps with any other woman, she would not be so content, but as long as they had each other, there was no reason to believe that anything was other than what it seemed.

When they eventually detached, Lara sitting up while Kennedy leaned against the back of the couch, Lara had a new thought. “Do you really think I’m a whore?” She was prepared for either answer. Kennedy had heard every sordid story Lara had to tell a few times over.

“Oh, Bunny, you know that’s playing around. I thought you liked it.”

“I do. When you’re going at me like that, I like it when you call me that.” Lara shrugged. “Was just wondering.”

“Don’t do that.” Kennedy stroked her hair, combing out a few tiny tangles with her fingers. “I want you to take all those negative feelings and forget them. They’re not true, Bunny. I love you. I’ve always loved you. There are no others… none you’re not shoving in my direction, anyway. And if they never came around again? I don’t care. I enjoy the fun we have with others, but if it were only you and me for the rest of our days, I’d be as excited to live my life.”

She leaned against Kennedy’s shoulder, sighing. “I feel the same way.”

“By the way, you should probably apologize to Chloe.”

Lara snorted. “You know she’s quitting.”

“So, that means you don’t apologize?”

“Fine. I’ll apologize.”

“Bunny…”

“I said I would apologize to her. Belike,‘I’m sorry I thought you were sleeping with my spouse, but now I knowthat’s impossible.’”

“Bunny.”

She grinned. “What?”

It felt good to no longer be so paranoid.

Chapter 12

“It’s Called Doing Both”

An escape to the Bahamas was what Lara needed after her so far tumultuous winter. Thankfully, a second honeymoon to one of the most exclusive islands in the Caribbean meant lots of warm sunshine and, well, more.

It was Day 4, and Lara was already feeling so lazy that she didn’t mind spending chunks of change here and there to have waiters bring towels at the pool, drinks at the beach, and sunscreen everywhere in between. The only person allowed to rub it into her skin, however, was Kennedy. Well, she and the cabana gal tidying up her private oasis by the pool.

“Right there, yes,” she purred, watching as the bikini-clad lady from California pressed between her toes. It tickled a little, but Lara was able to ignore it as long as Missy Hotness kept up the foot rub.She is so damn fine. Tanned. Toned. Just smart enough to know what she was doing, but also coasting by on her stunning looks. The woman was a pro at doing whatever Laratold her to do.She makes a killing seducing married middle-aged people here. Hence Missy Hotness’s mini-freakout when Kennedy approached in wet swimwear and a towel wrapped around her shoulders.

“I leave you alone for twenty minutes in this criminally hot black bikini of yours, and lo’ and behold, you’ve got my replacement already.”

The cabana girl leaped up, apologized to Ms. Anderssen, and took off for the main house a few yards away. This left Kennedy and Lara alone in their private cabana, although plenty of other resort guests milling about could see what they were up to. Good.
