The hard part would be revealing their world to Beatrix, but that could wait. Right now, they would touch and learn each other’s bodies.
Beatrix’s legs were stretched across his lap and although his sense of smell wasn’t nearly as good as a shifter’s, he could still scent her growing passion. He ran his hands up her thighs, annoyed by the pants that were denying him access to her skin.
He hooked a finger in her waistband and tugged. “Off?”
She and Titan stopped kissing, and she looked at him, clearly dazed. “Huh?”
“I think you’re wearing too many clothes,” Arthur said, tugging on her pants again.
After a few blinks, a slow smile pulled up the corners of her mouth.
“I agree,” she said. “I think we’re all wearing too many clothes!”
Digging down between herself and Titan, she found the hem of his shirt and roughly pulled it up. She didn’t get it over his sternum, but Titan was quick to realize what she was doing and helped. Arthur heard something rip but then Titan was deliciously naked from the waist up.
Both he and Beatrix hissed out their breaths at the sight of the wolf shifter’s gorgeous and muscled chest.
“Oh, you’re beautiful,” Beatrix murmured, placing a hand on his shoulder and running it down over his left pec. The muscles under her hand bounced a little, as if reacting to her touch.
“Really?” Titan said, sounding incredibly insecure. How could he be uncertain about his superb body?
“You are a singular beauty,” Arthur said, grabbing the doubting wolf by the back of the head and pulling him close for a kiss.
As their lips met, Titan opened to him. Arthur could taste a hint of Beatrix on Titan. It made heat flare though him and caused his aura to pulse. Titan gasped, and he felt Beatrix jerk a little. She didn’t know it, but she was already sensitive to his magic.
Continuing to kiss Titan, Arthur felt Beatrix’s hands on his shirt. The moment she finished unbuttoning it, he felt her hands flatten on his chest.
“Damn, both of you are hot as hell,” she said, one of her hands disappearing and the other exploring his skin, running over his pecs and down his sternum in a slow, lazy circle.
Titan moaned again, and he was sure it was because Beatrix’s other hand was touching the shifter’s chest.
“I’m the luckiest woman,” she murmured. “You’re both so pretty. I want to touch both of you all over.”
It was only the need to have all of them naked so flesh could touch flesh that gave Arthur the strength to end the kiss with Titan. The shifter whimpered a little when Arthur pulled away.
“Easy, love,” he whispered.
Titan lifted his lids, eyes heavy with need. “Don’t leave me.”
There was so much fear in that voice that it made Arthur’s heart hurt. “I’d never leave you.”
Titan shuddered. It was clear he’d been badly hurt in the past. Despite his raging hard-on, Arthur was ready to spend the evening comforting Titan if needed. A glance at Beatrix told him that she felt the same.
“We’re here Titan,” Beatrix said, pressing her face close to his. “You’re safe.”
“I’m sorry,” Titan said with an unsteady breath. “I don’t know what’s wrong with me. It’s like I can’t control my emotions.”
“When mat—” Arthur managed to cut the word off before he finished and changed tactics, knowing Titan would understand. “When people who are meant to be together first meet, it can be overwhelming.”
Beatrix nodded. “Whatever is going on between us is big. There was a connection right away. I feel it too. It almost makes me want to believe in tarot and auras.”
Titan relaxed, and his anxiety seemed to melt away. “It is important,” he agreed. “We’re important.”
“Remember you said we could snuggle all night?” Beatrix asked Titan. When he nodded, she continued. “Well, I love a good snuggle-cuddle. We could spend all night simply holding each other and talking. No pressure, okay?”
Arthur was proud of his human for being so quick to offer Titan calm comfort. Flocks were usually in tune with each other’s needs, but that didn’t tend to happen until after they shared souls and could feel each other’s emotions.
They hadn’t spent much time together, and Beatrix already understood Titan.
