By the time Daniel reached me, I had landed on my back, my knees up and ready to kick defensively.But he had dove between them, bypassing my feet and pinning his hips on top of mine.I managed to elbow him hard across the jaw, causing him to growl before he snatched both of my wrists in his good hand and slammed them into the floor above my head.
“Have you lost your fucking mind?Get off of me, Daniel!”I shrieked, raising my hips to lock my ankles behind his back to keep his body in place.
“Where is Jason hiding?”he growled down at me, his voice jagged and rough.
“What?What the hell are you talking about?Get off me!”
Daniel thought I knew where Jason was?Why would he think that?
“I know you know something about him, something that will lead us to him, now tell me what you know!”
“Daniel, stop!I don’t know any?—”
His cast-wrapped fist backhanded me across the face before I could finish my sentence, the taste of blood flooding my mouth on impact as pain exploded along my jawline.
“Cut the shit, Jaden.My brother might want you in one piece, but I’ll gladly tear you apart before I let you hurt my family.Now tell me the truth.Where is he?”
“I don’t know, Daniel!Please stop!This is insane!”
SLAP.
“You better give me something, Jaden.I’m not letting you go until you do,” he rasped, his teeth bare and his eyes wild.The liquor on his breath was so strong it made my stomach sour.
“There’s nothing to tell you because I don’t know anything!How could I?”
He then slammed his forearm down onto my throat and pressed hard.“You have three seconds to tell me something, or I’m going to fuck it out of you.”
My eyes widened in shock that he would actually threaten to go that far.I was ready and willing to take a beating, certain that would be enough.But this?Was this what I was really willing to endure to get my revenge?
Whatever it takes, Jaden.Whatever it takes.
Fuck it all, I’d survived so much worse.Let the asshole seal his own fate.
And let Darren be the one to finish it.
“You can’t be serious.I’m your brother’s wife!I’m carrying his child!Please, you can’t do this!”
Daniel tilted his head as he squeezed my wrists even tighter, forcing a groan through my gritted teeth.“As far as I’m concerned, you’re just another traitorous whore he should have strung up a long time ago.Now tell me where Jason has been hiding!”
My brows practically shot to the ceiling, honestly shocked he was willing to go this far against his own brother.
“Daniel, for fuck’s sake, listen to me,” I groaned under the weight of his arm.“There’s nothing to tell you.I don’t know what you want from me!”
“You spoke to him on the phone once, telling him to run.Where would he go, Jaden?”
“That was years ago!He’s not dumb, he wouldn’t stay in the same place for long any way!”
Daniel shook his head at me, his gaze hardening as his grip on my wrists tightened even more until my fingers were numb.
“Fine, Jaden.Have it your way, then.As I understand it, you enjoy things thehardway.”He reached down under my dress and ripped my thong from my body, the material snapping sharply against my skin as it gave way.
“Daniel, stop it!What the hell are you doing?Get off me!”I squirmed under him, tugging at his grip.
“Oh, I’m gonna get off alright,” he sneered down at me.“In fact, I think it’s about finally time I understood exactly what’s between these legs of yours that has my brother wrapped so tightly around your finger that he forgets who his real family is.”
Fuck, this is going to suck.
“Daniel, don’t!Don’t do this!I’m fucking pregnant!”I feigned reason with him.I hoped that when Darren undoubtedly saw this security footage, he would be convinced I had tried before Daniel slammed his cast between my teeth and shoved his way inside me.
