“Boar?” I asked with a smile on my face.

“Boar,” Copper confirmed.

“I’ll make the call. Batta, Bear, Splint, and Coal will stay here with Mackenzie and Brinkley. Tiny, Grant, and Drew will take Sean to Boar’s club. And the rest of us will get rid of this bitch once and for all. If shit goes tits up, call Tina, and then call Uncle Tommy. No one says a word without one of our lawyers present.”

“I understand why I’m staying here, and I’m not arguing with your decision, Prez. But, since I can’t kill her, can I at least be the one to drug her?” I asked.

Copper cracked a smile and shook his head, but a laugh still escaped him. “Yeah, man, go right ahead.”

“Appreciate it,” I said and rose to my feet. “Come on, boy, let’s go see what this old hag wants for her last drink.”

* * *

Surprisingly,Mitzie didn’t even hesitate when I placed a glass of whiskey in front of her. She downed the contents the moment I freed her hand. She placed the empty glass on the table and asked, “Can I have another?”

That’s when I noticed her hand trembling. “You an alcoholic?”

“Yes, she is,” Sean said as he passed by the door with Grant and Drew.

“When was your last drink?” I asked her.

“Right before that bitch jumped me and brought me here.”

“That bitch is my daughter-in-law,” I said.

“My apologies,” she said, not bothering to hide her sarcasm.

I shook my head to myself and sighed. If Mitzie was already showing signs of withdrawal in the few short hours she’d been at the clubhouse, it was going to take more than one glass of whiskey with a few crushed pills in it to knock her out.

It took five, though the last two were whiskey only. I didn’t want her to die before she was supposed to. She was already catching a break by getting to go out in a drunken stupor. But she didn’t deserve to die without suffering a little. I also didn’t want her to puke and fuck up all of our plans.

Somewhere between the third and fourth glass, she started to talk.

“I know you put something in my drink. I can feel it.”

I smirked. “That’s okay. The important thing was that you didn’t taste it.”

“Why?”

“You know the answer to that.”

“So it’s like that?”

“I’m not sure why you thought it wouldn’t be.”

She sighed. “Well, if I’m going out, I’m taking Pamela with me.”

“How are you planning on doing that?”

“By telling you all of her dirty little secrets.”

I laughed. “This ought to be good. Let’s hear it.”

“Pamela Perry paid me to date her stepson and plant evidence in his house to make it look like he was the one involved in producing and selling child pornography.”

“You’re saying he wasn’t?” I asked, unsure if I should believe anything that came out of her mouth.

She nodded and took another sip of her drink. “Yep, that’s right. Everything Carter told the police is true. Pamela married his dad for his money and his land. She killed him when he found out about her side hustle. And then she framed Carter to make sure she got everything.”
