As I pull out of the garage, my phone pings with Madison’s location.I frown at it.A restaurant?I don’t think so.She’s at a bar. There isn’t a restaurant in that area of the city, but there sure are a few bars. She lied to her father, which isn’t surprising since she’s underage.
I grip the steering wheel as I speed away from my house. She’s only about ten minutes away from me, but I get there in eight and pull up to the valet.I’m not particularly surprised Madison’s car was stolen from this area.I’m certainly not about to leave my Lamborghini unattended.
The valet is grinning as I step out.Unfortunately for him, he’s not going to get the opportunity to drive it.
“Hey.I’m just picking someone up.I don’t need you to park it for me.I’ll give you two hundred dollars to watch it for a few minutes.”
The guy’s eyes bug out.“Sure, man.”
I hand him a crisp hundred.“Don’t move. You’ll get the other one when I come back and my car is still here.”
The guy pockets the hundred.“No problem.”
I jog into the bar.I can’t decide if I’m going to hug Madison or strangle her. What the fuck is she doing in this part of town? And why is she out at a bar?
It takes me fifteen seconds to spot her. She’s at the bar with a group of girls, tipping back a shot of something bright green.I stare, frozen in my spot.I’ve never seen this side of Madison. She’s always been such a good girl.I’ve only known her to study hard, make good grades, and follow the rules.
Madison normally wears jeans and university hoodies. Her long brown hair is in a ponytail most of the time.I’ve seen her in sweaters and slacks or modest dresses at Christmas gatherings, but nothing likethis.
This Madison is wearing a short black leather skirt, black tights, and knee-high black boots with three-inch heels. And that’s the modest parts of her outfit. Her sheer black blouse is see-through, leaving nothing to the imagination with regard to her black lace bra.
Her hair is cascading down her back in waves. She’s laughing but sways a bit as she tries to set the shot glass on the bar, almost missing and dropping it on the floor.
My breath hitches as I let my gaze roam up and down her body.Fuck.She’s sex on wheels—and drunk.
Finally pulling my shit together, I stomp in her direction, thoroughly enjoying the look on her face when she spots me.Her eyes widen, and she winces.“Myles? What are you doing here?”
I set my hands on my hips, trying to look stern, forcing my gaze to remain on her face.“Your father called me.”
The woman next to her giggles.“Ah, isn’t that cute?Your daddy called someone to come get you.”
Madison’s face turns red, and she glances around in horror.
I lift a brow.
She leans her head toward my ear.“Could you maybe not embarrass me in front of my friends, Myles?”
I grip her shoulders and meet her gaze, my face an inch from hers.“Grab your coat and walk out of here with me, and I won’t make a scene.”My voice comes out more like a growl.I’m pretty pissed right now.Or maybe it’s that I’m scared.I can’t stand the idea of Madison bar hopping.Anything could have happened to her. What the hell was she thinking?
She sighs.“Fine.”She turns to grab a leather jacket off the chair next to her.“I’ll catch up with you guys later.”
I pay no attention to the three girls who wiggle their fingers at her.One of them whistles. One of them says, “Who’s the sexy DILF?”Another says, “Aren’t you going to introduce us?”
As soon as Madison has her coat on, I grip the back of her neck and all but march her out the front door.
I’m relieved when I find my car where I left it.After helping a very tipsy Madison into the passenger seat, I jog around to the driver’s side and hand the guy two more hundreds, adding an extra because he did me a solid.“Thanks, man.Appreciate it.”
“Damn.”He hands me a card.“If you ever need anything, call.”
I chuckle as I climb into my baby.I don’t intend to be back in this neighborhood ever. It’s not exactly my scene.
I shut my door and turn toward Madison. Her arms are crossed, and she’s scowling.“What the f-fuck, Myles!I was having f-fun.”Her voice slurs.
“Did you or did you not call your father and tell him your car was stolen half an hour ago?”
She rolls her eyes.“Yeah, but I didn’t n-need you to come g-get me.I’m not a baby. The police will find it.I would have t-taken an Uber.”
“Are you serious?”My voice raises.“That’s it?You just went back into the bar and ordered another round of shots?”
